MAST Training in Washington: How the Online Path Works
The Washington MAST Path, Step by Step
- Get hired (you have 60 days from hire to obtain your permit).
- Choose an LCB-certified MAST provider (online or classroom).
- Pass the course; your Class 12 or Class 13 permit is issued.
- Renew every five years.
Class 12 vs Class 13
Class 13 (18–20) lets you take orders and serve in limited roles; Class 12 (21+) covers mixing and tasting duties.
Where Educational Courses Fit
Our educational alcohol-service course covers the same responsible-service fundamentals for study and professional development, but it is not LCB-certified MAST training — official permits come only from certified providers at lcb.wa.gov.
